Last week's smoking gun implicating Iran seems to have been exposed as a  fraud, so it's time for the next accusation to come off the production line.

According to the AP, Iran's latest international outrage is a plot to illegally import uranium from Kazakhstan.

How do we know this? Thanks to the helpful and timely appearance of

an intelligence report obtained by the Associated Press on Tuesday. [...] The report was drawn up by a member-nation of the International Atomic Energy Agency and provided to the AP on condition that the country not be identified because of the confidential nature of the information.

So to re-cap. People who don't want to be named, from a country they don't want to identify, provide a document that no-one has checked, which supports Washington's policy du jour.

Inexplicably, the words "yellowcake" ,"Niger" and "Wilson" pop into my mind.
